Lifting Upper Body at Address

The issue is an upright angle of the upper body at address. The ideal spine angle is around 40 degrees before and after setup.

Causes: Lifting the upper body at address can straighten the wrists and increase shoulder tension, often pushing the club outward during takeaway.

Spine angle or knee flex is not athletic at setup.

Causes: Reaching for the ball, rounded shoulders, locked knees.

Feet and hips aim left of target for a right-handed player.

Causes: Compensating for slice, alignment drift over time.

Ball is placed too far back for intended club and shot.

Causes: Habit from punch shots, fear of topping.
